CXC To Release Exam Results By Tomorrow

Rebel Nation | October 14, 2021

By the end of this week results will be out relative to CXC exams this year.

We hear that tomorrow Guyana will host the Caribbean Examinations Council’s annual Release of Results Ceremony.

This is for the regional June/July 2021 examinations, and the ceremony is ahead of the online release to candidates Friday.

The event will be held at nine in the morning, where it will be addressed by Guyana’s Minister of Education, Dr. Priya Manick-chand, as well as Dr Wayne Wesley, the Registrar and CEO of CXC, among others.

A report will be presented on the administration of this year’s examinations, with reference to the regional performance outlook for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), (C-SEC), the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC), the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) and (CPEA).

The release of results will be a three-tiered approach; firstly, with the release to the Ministries of Education; a joint meeting with the Ministry of Education; and lastly, release to candidates on or before October 15.

We would remember that this year, the Caribbean Examinations Council, like many other institutions, had to modify its strategy for examinations due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, following which sitting of the exams was delayed by two weeks.

It said this was to allow candidates more time to prepare for their exams.
