Shenseea Shares Hospital Ordeal After Battling Hematoma – DancehallMag

Rebel Nation | November 28, 2021

Dancehall star Shenseea has disclosed that she’s recovering from hematoma—a condition that occurs when large blood vessels are damaged and leak, resulting in pain and swelling, according to Healthline.

On November 10, alongside a photo of her wrist in a hospital band, Shenseea announced that her ‘health was at risk’ and that she would be unable to attend four events that were scheduled for that weekend.

During an Instagram Live on Sunday afternoon (November 28), the 25-year-old explained that she went through a ‘detrimental’ ordeal, with her primary symptom being severe pain.

“…Pain wake me up out a mi sleep, people. So mi a seh, ‘no, what the fu-k is this?’ I have to go to the hospital right now. Emergency,” she said to over 110,000 viewers.

Shenseea added that she was forced to find her way to the hospital, due to the lengthy wait time an ambulance would take to reach her home in the US.

“The ambulance told me that they’re gonna take one hour to reach, and I’m like, ‘yo, I can’t wait on them. I need to go.’ Urgent care first, then I had to go to the hospital. They had me for an hour. Mi a tell unuh one bagga form. Mi feel like me a dead; I feel like I’m dying and I had to be sitting down to fill out paperwork,” she explained.

“I told them that listen, ‘I’m in so much pain and you’re gonna have to do something. I can’t sit down to read when I feel like I’m gon die ni–a.’ The first Urgent Care, they gave me some Tylenol, then I went to the hospital and they injected me with another pain medicine. That wasn’t working at all,” she added.

It didn’t end there for the entertainer, who said she had to seek further healthcare.

“Then I went to another doctor that we knew. I was sitting there for like two hours cause the doctor wasn’t in,” she shared.

The singjay, whose given name is Chinsea Lee, did not disclose the state she was in, nor the medical facilities she sought treatment at, but she did reveal that she never wants to experience anything similar while being in the country.

“I don’t ever wanna go through that again, and be here. I don’t wanna ever go through anything again that’s detrimental, and be here in America. I would D-I-E ni–a. Captital—all caps,” Shenseea added, her eyes widened for emphasis.

“If any of you on this live ever catch hematoma, you know what I’m talking about. The first symptom of hematoma, is pain, literally, not even a likkle headache, not even a likkle eye ache, not even vomiting—pain. That’s the first symptom of a hematoma…first time going through that sh-t…now, I’m just forced to sit my a– down,” she continued.

Prior to being admitted to the hospital, Shenseea was one of the featured acts at Rolling Loud New York. She was also slated to be a panelist at the REVOLT SUMMIT spearheaded by American rapper and entrepreneur Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs between November 11 and 13.
